Role Expectations

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer;
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Cisco, SD-WAN, Fortinet, and FortiManager;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Willingness to work from 3-4 days a week from the office;
  • At least a CCNA certification and preferably a CCNP certification;
  • A proactive and flexible work attitude.

Summary

Our client is a leading engineering organization that designs and manufactures large technical products worldwide. Their internal IT infrastructure team plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing their IT infrastructure. To strengthen their team, they are looking for an experienced Network Engineer.
As part of this dynamic team, you will work in a beautiful office, conveniently located in The Amsterdam. You will collaborate with a team of 10 experienced IT infrastructure engineers, all passionate about their field. This team plays an essential role in maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure that forms the backbone of their global operations.

Description

The Role: As a Network Engineer, you will be part of their dynamic and informal IT infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of their network solutions. Your expertise in Cisco, SD-WAN, Fortinet, and FortiManager will play an essential role in ensuring the continuity and security of their own network infrastructure.

Your tasks will include:
  • Managing and optimizing their network using Cisco technologies;
  • Implementing and managing SD-WAN solutions;
  • Configuring and maintaining Fortinet and FortiManager solutions;
  • Supporting network architecture projects and initiatives;
  • Identifying and resolving network-related issues;
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to improve the overall IT infrastructure.
